Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students’ growth and success as a Special Education Teacher serving in a Life Skills classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. With five available positions, flexibility is key as placement details and assignments will be determined just before the start of the school year. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Current Oregon Special Education Teaching license
- Adaptability and openness to varying school locations and assignments within the region
- Previous experience working with students in Life Skills or Special Education settings is preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and families
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to Life Skills students’ needs
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages growth in academic, social, and daily living skills
- Adapt instructional techniques and materials to meet students’ diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with related service providers, support staff, and general education teachers
- Maintain thorough records on student progress, attendance, and required documentation
- Attend meetings, professional development sessions, and school functions as required
- Uphold district and state standards pertaining to Special Education
